About David Borleis
David P. Borleis, 53, of Gardner, formerly of Weymouth, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 3rd in his residence surrounded by his family, following a long illness. Born in Baltimore, MD on November 6, 1956, he was a son of C. Donald Borleis. David was a taxi driver employed by Shore Taxi of Quincy for 17 years until retiring due to illness. He was a graduate of Doherty High School in Worcester. David was a member of Bread of Life Church, Westminster. He loved being a taxi driver and enjoyed helping the people he served. David was a baseball fan, especially of the Boston Red Sox. He leaves his wife of five years, Janet A. (Rahaim) Borleis of Gardner; his mother, Geraldine E. (Single) Borleis of Elverson, Pennsylvania; 2 brothers, Daniel M. Borleis and his wife Sue of South Carolina, Donald J. Borleis and his wife Shawna of North Carolina; 3 sisters, Deborah R. Breitkreuz and her husband Ken of Colorado, Diane M. Hubler and her husband Fred of Pennsylvania, Dawn R. McGurn and her husband Edward of Braintree; 3 uncles, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves a dear friend, Ginny Wirzbicki of Gardner and his beloved dog, Pokki. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6th at 12 noon in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Gardner. A calling hour at the funeral home will be Saturday, March 6th from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
