Clara Lorraine Witt Williams

Lorraine (Clara Pease) Williams was born on July 5, 1919 in rural Grant County, Wisconsin (Millville) and she passed away peacefully on October 11, 2019 in Fitchburg at the amazing age of 100 years, 3 months and 6 days. Lorraine was the eldest daughter of Walter and Beth (Stoughton) Pease. She had three younger siblings, Betty, Dorothy and Tom. Additionally, she had three older half-siblings, Lloyd, Donald and Lena. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings. Lorraine proudly graduated from Boscobel High School in 1937 and was united in marriage to Russell Witt in 1941. Together they had one daughter, Margie. Russell passed away in 1972. In 1975 she was united in marriage to Harry Williams, and he passed away in 1987 leaving her a widow for the last 32 years. Lorraine is survived by her loving family; her daughter, Margie (Jim) Biersach; her grandson, and long-time roommate, Paul (Angel) Biersach; her granddaughter, Penny (Ben) Clark; her great grandchildren, Sofia and Liam Clark; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Grams lived in her own home comfortably until a week and a half before she passed away. Grams will be remembered as a very peaceful person, who enjoyed spending time with her kitties she had over the years. The family would like to thank Kelly, her caregiver over the last year, and also to Agrace Hospice for making Grams' last few days comfortable and loving. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Norway Grove Memorial Lutheran Church, 820 River Road, DeForest, WI with Rev. Stacy Gahlman-Schroeder officiating. Relatives and friends may call on the family on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services. A private family internment will be held at a later date in the Cambria Cemetery.
