About Clara Leach
Clara Mae Leach March 31, 1936 ~ February 1, 2023 Clara Brown Leach, 86, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at her home. Clara was a native of Moore County. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother. Clara worked in the textile industry before retiring from Energizer Inc. where she worked with her late husband Dewey. A faithful member of Amity Hills Baptist Church, she loved her church family. Her family remembers her wonderful home cooked meals and especially the homemade desserts. Clara and Dewey were a team, not only did they work together but they enjoyed traveling together, especially to the mountains. Clara was a daughter of the late Reid and Mamie Moore Brown and was preceded in death by husband: Dewey Leach; sisters: Barbara Duck, Doris Moody; brothers: Luther Cox, Ed Brown. Clara is survived by daughter: Linda Ritter and husband Farrell; son: Kenneth Hancock and wife Vickie; grandchildren: Michael Garner, Shaun Garner, Brian Hancock, Stacey Hancock Seawell; 8 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, February 6, 2023 at Browns Chapel Christian Church, with Pastor Shaun Garner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of the church. Kennedy Funeral Home is assisting the Leach Family. Online condolences may be made at www.pinesfunerals.com
