About Charles Brooks
"Charles G. Brooks, Sr., 68, of Parsons, WV died September 8th at home. Born October 10, 1946 in Lake Ariel, son of the late Ralph and Beatrice Morgan Brooks, he was a graduate of the Lake Consolidated School. Prior to retirement he was a furniture maker and a butcher. Charles enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, and farming. He took pride in gardening his flowers and herbs and hunting ginseng. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Surviving are sons Robert A. and Charles G. Brooks, Jr.; sisters Iva O'Donnell; stepsons Robert and Anthony Dibartalomeo; a stepdaughter Kimberly Dibartalomeo; grandson Robert Brooks; Uncle Jess Swingle; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Caralyn Propst and a brother James Brooks. Private interment will be held in South Canaan Bible Protestant Cemetery. Local Arrangements by the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel." Wayne Independent, Honesdale, Pennsylvania, Friday, September 18, 2015.
