Charlene J Babbitt

Charlene J. Babbitt, age 74 of Bristol, IL passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 23, 1941 in Plano, IL the daughter of Charles and Lena (Speiss) Meier. Charlene was united in marriage on August 17, 1963 to Mr. Donald Babbitt and they spent the next 51 happy years together. Mrs. Babbitt was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Yorkville, IL. Charlene was the Owner and Operator of her own Beauty Shop. She was a huge sports fan, always attending local sports events and watching games on television. Charlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Charlene is survived by her husband, Donald Babbitt of Bristol, IL; her children, Timothy Babbitt of Renton, WA, Monica Babbitt-Tanquilut of Westmont, IL, Kelli (Sean) Reynolds of Ft. Gratiot, MI and Tonya (Josh) Paveza of Bridgman, MI; her grandchildren, Rose and Derek Babbitt, Kaitlin (Charlie) Johnson, Chase and Kendall Tanquilut, Evan Reynolds, and Riley, Austin and Madeline Paveza; her siblings, Dewayne (Betty) Meier, Kenny (Melva) Meier, Bill (Judi) Meier, Jim (Shelia) Meier, Diane Borino, and Bernadine Meier; also many, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lena Meier; her siblings, Rich Meier, Delores Allen, Marilyn Meier, Ronald Meier, Eugene Meier, Beverly Meier and Gloria Meier. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut Street in Yorkville, IL with Father Michael Callea, M.I.C., officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Bristol, IL.
