About Carrie Smith
Carrie Mention Smith, formerly of Darien, GA. died Wednesday at Augusta University Medical Center. The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. John Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Upper Mill Cemetery. A walk-through viewing will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday at Darien Funeral Home. Masks will be required. She is survived by her children, Malaya Pace, Carl Smith and Sonya (Kenny) Mitchell; siblings, Paul (Patricia) Mention, Ruby (Delmus) Smith and George Mention; and other relatives. Darien Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Published by The Brunswick News on Jan. 6, 2023. Preceeded in death by spouse Jack Smith Sr.
