About Carrie Matthews
Carrie Louella Matthews, the daughter of the late William Joseph Flowers and Sara Lou Keathley Flowers, was born on August 24, 1926, in Conway, AR. On October 8, 1943 she was united in marriage to Arnold Franklin Matthews. He preceded her in death on February 11, 2003. She was a member of the Malden Church of Christ Church in Malden, MO. Mrs. Matthews died Wednesday, June 21, 2023, in Malden, MO, at the age of 96 years, 9 months and 28 days. Survivors include 1 son, 1 daughter, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 son, Jimmy A. Matthews; 1 daughter-in-law, Betty Sue Matthews; 1 brother, Dennis Flowers; 4 sisters, Estelle Lee, Ruth Hoggard, Odell Norsworthy and Nellie Cude. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023, at 12:30 P.M, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M., in the chapel, with Mr. James Powell officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
