About Carmen Chasse
Howland - Carmen V. (Corey) Chasse, 76, Howland and Houlton formerly of Houlton, died peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 14, 1943, in Mars Hill one of triplets to the late Otho Corey and Nina (Craig) Senecal. She was a graduate from Houlton High School. She married her first and only boyfriend, and the love of her life, Robert D. Chasse on May 3,1963. They raised five children and were married for 48 years, until his passing in 2011. Carmen will be remembered for her melodic alto voice and singing church hymns. She always enjoyed telling stories of her life's adventures. Carmen and Bob took the family on regular trips to the ocean providing a lifetime of memories for their children. It was a special joy for her to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a great fondness for animals, especially Wyler. Carmen was predeceased by her father, Otho Corey, sisters, Carlene and Sharlene Corey, grandson Justin Chasse, and her husband Robert D. Chasse Sr. Visiting hours will be Sunday, April 7, at 1 pm at Howland Baptist Church, Howland with the funeral service to follow at 2 pm with the Rev. Dale Chasse. In lieu of flowers, the family requests to make donations in memory of Carmen Chasse to: Androscoggin Home Healthcare & Hospice 236 Stetson Road Auburn, Maine 04210.
