About Carl Damé
CARL DOMINIC DAME Died at his home in Alamo, Sunday, May 5, 2002. born in Oakland on March 9, 1917, and was 85 years old at his passing. Mr. Dame was a longtime resident of Orinda prior to moving to Alamo twelve years ago. He served in the Unites States Army Air Corps during World War II as a Captain, piloting aircraft. He also served as a flight officer and instructor. He was the President of Dame Construction Company which was established in 1947, and had many associations in the community, including the Columbo Club, Oakland; The Metropolitian Club; Corinthian Yacht Club, Tiburon; and Ducks Unlimited. He was a former member of both Roundhill and Diablo Country Clubs. Mr. Dame's memberships reflect his hobbies of golf, yachting, fishing hunting and flying. Mr. Dame will be missed by his son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Jennifer Dame of Danville; step-daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Lyle Wehrman of Diablo; grandchildren, Shauna, Carly and Jake Dame of Danville; and Mark and Lindsay Wehrman of Diablo; his sister-in-law, Sue Dame of Livermore and her children, Mike and Jan Dame of Oakley; and Nan and Gene Tribuzio of Livermore. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Dame in 1998 and his brother, Joseph Dame. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 9, 2002 4-8 p.m. at Wilson & Kratzer Chapel of San Ramon Valley, 825 Hartz Way Danville with a Memorial Service to he held Friday, May 10, 2002 at St. Isidore's Catholic Church 445 LaGonda Way Danville, CA. Interment will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland
