About Bryant Christensen

Bryant Lovell Christensen, 86 of St. Anthony, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Bryant is the second child of Anthony Elvin Christensen and Sadie Lovell Christensen. He was born in Aurora, Utah on August 9, 1937. He was greeted by his older sister, Marga. His brother and Louise joined the family later. He grew up in Aurora and graduated from North Sevier High School. He and his brother had a lot of fun adventures with their friends. They worked hard on the farm and hard at playing. He served in the Great Lake Missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He attended and graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Forest, Range, and Wildlife Management. While at Utah State he met a city girl, Benita Mundy, and they were married shortly after on August 31, 1962, in the Manti Temple. After graduating Bryant was offered a position on the Sawtooth National Forest and assigned to the Shake Creek Ranger Station in Idaho. This began their Forest Service adventures. Every couple of years Bryant would come home talking about new positions and opportunities and ask Benita if she was ready to move to a new area. He appreciated that she was always supportive, ready, and willing. They lived in Buhl, Shake Creek, Burley, all in Idaho, then to Circleville, Utah, back to Challis, Idaho, then to Monticello, Utah, then up to Ogden, Utah, and finally made St. Anthony their home. They had four children. During retirement, Bryant and Benita enjoyed spending their summers in St. Anthony and winters in St. George, Utah. Bryant and Benita served two missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. First, when Bryant was a Forester for the church and they lived in Centerville, Utah. Second, when they served in the Nauvoo temple. They served for many years in the Idaho Falls, Rexburg, and St George temples. They made lifelong friends in each place they lived and served. Bryant is loved and respected. He taught his children to work, gave them a love for Christ, the outdoors, and for gardening. He was a great source of strength to his family. He is a faithful witness of Jesus Christ, a devoted husband, and a beloved father and grandfather. We would like to thank the Homestead for taking care of and entertaining him these last couple of years. He is survived by his brother, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, his children, his daughter-in-law, 17 grandchildren, and a plethora of great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, wife, son Kevin, nieces, and a nephew. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. at the St. Anthony 4th Ward Relief Society Room. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the St. Anthony Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
