Brian Sidney Beers

Brian Sidney Beers passed away peacefully on September 24, 2022 at home surrounded by family. A lifelong resident of Newmarket he was a volunteer firefighter, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Polish Club and the Newmarket Historical Society. Brian was employed by the Town of Durham for 44 years in the Public Works Department, many years as Superintendent of Highways. During this time he reached the level of Senior Road Scholar from the New Hampshire Department of Transportation. He and his wife spent many years attending craft shows selling their collectible miniature dollhouses and furniture. Brian loved to travel visiting Ireland, Spain, France and the Shetland Islands. He is pre deceased by his son Richard Andrew Beers, his mother Anne Marie (Mitchell) Beers and her partner John Cavaretta, his father Sidney Clayton Beers, his sister Rebecca Susan Yeaton and many aunts and uncles on both sides. Brian is survived by his wife Suzanne Stoykovich Beers, his son Brian Matthew Beers, his sister Lauren Anne Moores, his brother Alan George Beers, step daughter Abigail O'Neil (Scott), step son Sam Briggs (Jennifer) and nine grandchildren Brenton Beers, Audrey Beers, Sophie O'Neil, Ryan O'Neil, Sean O'Neil, Molly O'Neil, Ben Briggs, Julia Briggs, and Colby Belle Beers and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 30th from 4 – 7 p.m. at Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home & Crematory, 77 Exeter Road (Route 108), Newmarket. Private burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
