Billie Marie Lasiter

Billie Marie Lasiter, age 88, of Palestine, Texas, passed away peacefully after a long, blessed, loving life, on Tuesday, the 31st day of May 2022. She was born in Grapeland, Texas on the 25th day of June 1933. Billie was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Her love for all kids were undeniable. She devoted her life to raising her children. After her children were grown, she decided to go out into the work force and tried many jobs. She was a hard worker and spent most of her working career in department stores. Billie at the age of 83, retired from Walmart after nineteen years of being a dedicated employee. We must not cry because she is gone, but to smile as she loved us all. Billie will live forever in the hearts of her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Jones and Laura Mae Goodnight; beloved husband, Charles Everett Lasiter; son, Charles Wayne Lasiter. Billie is survived by her sister, Thelma Coker; daughter, Marsha Hunter and husband Jerry; sons, David Lasiter, Phillip Lasiter, and Jeffery Lasiter; grandchildren, Larry Nethery, Jr., Marcus Nethery, Jennifer Tyler, Kevin Lasiter, Bobby Lasiter, Sr., Casey Lasiter, and Jesse Lasiter; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and many more beloved family members and friends. Funeral services to honor Billie's life are to be conducted at four o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 7th day of June 2022 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Ben Rhone officiating. Interment will follow in Fields Chapel Cemetery, Palestine, Texas. Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the start of the service. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Kevin Lasiter, Jesse Lasiter, Tristan Porter, Bobbie Lasiter, Jr., Donny Lasiter, and Craig Stephenson. Honorary pallbearers include Larry Nethery Jr., Marcus Nethery, and Bobby Lasiter, Sr. For those unable to attend the service, livestreaming will be available via the Rhone Funeral Home's Facebook page.
