About Betty Babb
Mrs. Betty Jean Sledge Babb, 72, passed away Friday, December 2, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, Dec 5, at Culpepper Funeral Home in Canton with burial following in Canton City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 pm Sunday, Dec 4, at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Babb was retired from Betty's Day Care and was a member of Center Terrace Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, G.L. "Billy" Babb; her parents, Charles & Alatha Herrington Sledge; and her brother, James Edward Sledge. She is survived by her son, Billy Babb & wife, Jennifer of Brandon; daughter, Marie Kennedy & husband, Allen of Florence; brother, Charles Houston sledge & wife, Tommie Jean of Canton; eight grandchildren, Shonda Watkins (Dywayne), Justan Kennedy (Lecrecia Schneider), Nathan Babb, Nichole Babb, Jamie Babb, Murphy Hill, Crystal Polk, and Stephanie Hutchins; and ten great grandchildren.
