About Babette Reichert
Babette E. Reichert, 77, a longtime Putnam Valley resident, passed away October 27, 2012. On September 13, 1958, she married Paul E. Reichert, who survives her. She worked as a secretary for over 7 years for Vicks Chemical in Manhattan, until retiring; then she became a medical transcriptionist. Babette was a member of the Grace Methodist Church of Putnam Valley, and the Putnam Valley Fire Dept. Ladies Aux. She was also active with the Boy Scouts Troop #41. Babette was incredibly artistic, loved to crochet and read. Along with her husband of 54 years, she is survived by her 3 sons: Douglas (Mary) Reichert, Stephen Reichert, Karl (Tracey) Reichert; and 4 grandchildren. Her sister Carol (Donald) Hockman and her step-sister Lynn Hubbell also survive her. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 2nd from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, Peekskill, where a Funeral Service will be held 10 am, Saturday, November 3rd, followed by interment in Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor.
