About Arlene Nace
Arlene S. Miller Martz Nace, of Hanover, passed peacefully from this world, August 23, 2013, at the home of her granddaughter in Abbottstown. She was the loving wife of the late Jesse Grant Nace. She was born February 29, 1932, in Jefferson, the daughter of the late Nelson Walter and Minnie Susanna (Leiphart) Miller. Mrs. Nace retired from Knouse Foods, Peach Glen, where she was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union 1776. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 7374, West Manchester, Fraternal Order of Eagle Aerie 1406, Hanover, the AMVETS, Thomasville and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Oxford. She is survived by her children, Deborah Strausbaugh and husband, Amos of Abbottstown, Jeffrey Martz and wife, Sara of Hanover, Joseph Martz of York, Connie Myers and her husband, James of New Oxford, Gregory Martz and wife, Bonnie of New Oxford, Melanie Jane Gallagher and husband, Ben of Hanover, and Diane Martz and her companion, Jim Caler of Hanover; sister, Linda Strausbaugh of Winter Haven, FL; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Klinedinst; and brothers, Nelson and Glenn Miller. Family and friends will meet at 9 a.m. August 28, 2013, at the Wetzel Funeral Home, Hanover, to process to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Oxford, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with Father Steven W. Fauser as celebrant. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be the 27th from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wetzel Funeral Home with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, New Oxford.
