About Annie Jackson
Marjorie, 84, died at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents John D. Smith and Carrie Brown of Whiteville, NC; husband Wilbur W. Jackson of Wilmington, NC; five siblings: Locke, Brundell, T-Mable, John D., and George; and grandson Richard Treanor of Wilmington, NC. Mrs. Jackson was a dedicated nurse, serving at James Walker Memorial and New Hanover Memorial Hospitals. She retired after 28 years and taught nursing at Cape Fear Community College for more than 10 additional years. Mrs. Jackson attended Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and was a member of the Pilot's Club. She is survived by her daughter Wilma Jackson Reed and son-in-law Bruce of Wilmington, NC; son Wilbur Wayne Jackson of Wilmington, NC; three siblings: Jim Smith of Tampa, FL, Daniel Smith of Plant City, FL and Sarah McKee of Bolivia, NC; three grandchildren: Mark Treanor, Kimberly Treanor, and Annie Lauren Reed; and two great-grandchildren: Taylor and Elizabeth Treanor.
