About Anna Gabriel
Anna Reeves Barber, called Annie, was a daughter of John Thomas Barber, Jr. (1854-1912) and his wife Cornelia Reeves Wilkinson (1857-1933). Her paternal grandparents were John Thomas Barber and his wife Sarah Catherine Harrison; and her maternal grandparents were William Reeves Wilkinson and his wife Nancy Adeline DeWeese. Annie married Henderson Baine Gabriel (1893-1974) on 6 Nov.. 1918, in Rowan County. He was a son of Alexander Milligan Gabriel and his wife Frances Elizabeth Robinson. He was a conductor with the Southern Railroad. Annie & Henderson lived in Winston-Salem. They had at least two children, Elizabeth Reeves Gabriel (1920-2001, m. Herbert Carlton Byrd) and Henderson Baine Gabriel, Jr. I will add more information when I find it.
