About Anna Abdella
UTICA, N.Y. -- Anna (Eddo) Abdella, 89, of Utica, formerly of Worcester, Mass., died Sunday, Sept. 23, in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital. Her husband, William Abdella, died in 1961. She leaves two daughters, Lillian Mody of Utica and Rita Crowley of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Marian Jabour and Sister Anthony Marie OSF; several grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews. Two brothers, Michael and Albert Eddo, predeceased her. She was born in Lebanon, daughter of Tonsa and Lauma (Nader) Eddo, and moved to Utica in 1926. She lived more than 30 years in Worcester before returning to Utica. She was a member and past president of the St. Joseph Society, and was a charter member of the St. Moura Society of St. Louis Gonzaga Church. The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, in St. Louis Gonzaga Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
