Ann Fae Idleman

Ann Fae Idleman, age 84, of Maysville, OK passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Sunset Estates Nursing Home in Purcell, OK. Ann was born April 22, 1931 at Maysville, OK to parents: Clarence Byrum Adams and Arlie Belle (Gentry) Adams. She was the 2nd child of 10 children and the older of her twin sister, Alta Mae. Ann grew up in a farm family in the Story Community. As a young girl, she learned how to work hard with her brothers and sisters in the cotton and broomcorn fields. During her earlier school years, she attended French School near Story. Her high school years were in Maysville where she graduated with the class of 1950. Ann married her best friend and love of her life, John Wesley Idleman on December 23, 1950 in Purcell. Together, they raised five children: Gail, Steve, Ginger, Tommy and Janet. Ann worked tirelessly as a homemaker, wife, and mother. Ann was a faithful Christian and a member of Story Baptist Church for over 80 years. She loved listening to gospel music and for many years served as the church song leader. Throughout her life, she enjoyed living in the country where she could raise chickens and grow a garden. She also enjoyed, cooking, canning, sewing, quilting, and feeding her birds. Ann cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: Parents: Clarence and Arlie Belle Adams; Husband of 64 years: John Wesley Idleman; Five brothers: Gentry, J.D., Thelder, Jerry and T.A. Adams; Two sisters: Drewanna Dedmon and Wanda B. Adams; She is survived by: Five children, Three daughters: Gail Willis and husband Ronnie of Norman, Ginger Randol and husband Jim of Maysville, Janet Ake and husband Fuzzy of Shawnee, Two sons: Steve Idleman and wife Debbie of Maysville, Tommy Idleman and wife Judy of Maysville; Two sisters: Alta Mae Bowerman of Ada, Mary Clagg of Blanchard; 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services ~ Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Story Baptist Church. Interment will be at the Maysville Cemetery. Arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
