Angelina Zaino

Valhalla - Angelina Zaino of Valhalla, NY passed away peacefully, on May 6th, 2019 at the age of 91. She was born on May 11th, 1927 to Vincenza (Guido) and Vincenzo Vigliotti in Eastchester, NY. She grew up with her family in Eastchester, NY and would meet Alfred "Doc" Zaino, Sr. of White Plains, NY after he returned from his service in WWII. They would marry on August 8, 1948 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scarsdale, NY. She worked as a waitress in B. Altman & Co. until its closing and then at Bloomingdale's until she retired. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in White Plains, NY. Adored and cherished wife of Alfred "Doc" Sr, to whom she was married to for over 60 years, the proud mother of Alfred "Doc" Jr. (Debbie), Roseanne Zaino-Olsen, and Joanne Cebel, loving grandmother to Michael (Michele) and Stephanie (Joe) Zaino, and Matthew (Erin) and Daniel (Shannon) Marzella, the loving great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren, dearest friend of Sue Shinn and the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred "Doc" Sr, her son Alfred "Doc" Jr. and all ten of her brothers and sisters. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday May 7, 2019 from 4-8 pm at McMahon Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home (491 Mamaroneck Ave, White Plains, NY). A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (92 South Lexington Ave, White Plains, NY) on Wednesday May 8, 2019 at 10 am. Interment will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery (575 Hillside Ave, White Plains, NY). In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association and/or the American Lung Association. Published in The Journal News on May 7, 2019
