About Alice Pace
Alice Clementine Holder was born to Frank Holder and Sarah Cheney in Indiana. Alice 1st married Robert Henry *Riche August 31, 1892 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Their children were Gertrude Edna Riche, Robert Howard Riche, and Jennie Cecil Riche. Alice's marriage record to Fred L Pace in 1904, cited her as widowed. Her second marriage to Frederic Leroy Pace occurred May 13, 1904, in Council Bluffs. In addition to Alice's children, seven more were born to their union: Alice Louise, Gladys Irene, Richard Fred, twins Loretta J. and Luella J, Donald Harvey, and Helen Catherine. When daughter, Gladys, died shortly after childbirth in 1928, they also raised her son, Charles Lynch Jr., and cared for daughter, Alice's three young sons while she worked before her 2nd marriage. *Riche also spelled "Richie"
