About Ailene Pardue
Ailene Chappell Pardue passed away February 24, 2024 at Yadkin Nursing Center. She was born August 11, 1931 in Surry County to the late William Arthur and Levora Atkins Chappell. Mrs. Pardue was a graduate of Appalachian State Teachers College and spent over 40 years in service to others through education. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hampton "Drake" Pardue; a brother and sister-in-law, Luther and Phyllis Chappell. Surviving are her son, David Pardue (Donna); and two grandsons. Her funeral service will be held in Gentry Family Chapel. Interment will follow in the Boonville Cemetery.
