Obituary: Berkshire Eagle, The (Pittsfield, MA) - Wednesday, March 10, 1999 PITTSFIELD -- Agnes M. "Tot" Race, 94, formerly of Pittsfield, died Monday at Renaissance Manor Nursing Facility in Westfield. Born March 15, 1904, daughter of William and Delia Arnold Flaherty, she attended local schools and spent most of her adult life in Pittsfield. She was employed at the former Meadow View Inn in Coltsville as a waitress for 15 years and most recently was employed at the Tyler Restaurant until her retirement in the 1960s. She moved to Westfield with her daughter in 1976. Mrs. Race was a former communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Westfield. She was an avid reader. She leaves her daughter, Mrs. Joanne Lapointe of Westfield, and eight grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Edward Race, who died in 1992. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Agnes M. (Flaherty) "Tot" Race, 94, died March 8 in Westfield. She was also predeceased by her two brothers, Donald J. Flaherty and Edward W. "Flip" Flaherty, and her sister, Mrs. Ethel D. Froio. Calling hours at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be Wednesday evening from 6 to 8. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 8:15 from the funeral home followed with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Mark's Church with the Rev. Henry L.Dorsch, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Renaissance Manor Patient Activities Fund in care of the funeral home.
