About Adolph Iannicelli
Mr. Adolph A. “Big Al” Iannicelli, 92, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on April 8, 2018 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the loving husband of Marion (Famiglietti) Iannicelli. Adolph was born in Oakville, on March 17, 1926, son of the late Angelo and Jenny (Sforza) Iannicelli. He worked for the M.J. Daly Plumbing Company for over 22 years, until his retirement. Adolph enjoyed gardening, golfing, bowling, frequent trips to the casinos, family trips to the Catskill Mountains and spending time with his grandchildren. Adolph was one of the oldest living members of the Watertown Golf Club, having been a member for over 45 years. He was a member of the Pontelandolfo Community Club, having been the first to become a member with his two brothers together, Anthony and Adam Iannicelli, and a member of the V.F.W. Oakville Post 7330. Besides his wife, Marion, of 70 years, he leaves three sons, Donald P. Iannicelli and his wife, Lori, of Plantsville, Richard P. Iannicelli and his wife, Joyce, of Waterbury, and Gary M. Iannicelli and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Cromwell, a daughter, Nancy J. Klein and her husband, John, of East Islip, N.Y., a brother, Anthony L. Iannicelli and his wife, Juliette, of Oakville, eight grandchildren, Jillian Iannicelli, Daniel Iannicelli, John Klein (Laura), Julie Burland (John), Nicholas Iannicelli (Rosie), Michael Klein (Gia), Alyson Iannicelli, and James Iannicelli, and Adolph’s first great grandson, John James. He was predeceased by a brother, Adam Iannicelli, and a sister, Eva Fabian.
