Ruth Rogers TEXAS CITY — Ruth Rogers, 63, passed away Monday, April 18, 2005, at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center. Ruth was born April 21, 1941, to Hardy and A.V. Tatum, in Memphis, Texas. She was a resident of Texas City for over 30 years; she was a courier for a Pathology company for over 20 years; and she was a member of Souls Harbor United Pentecostal Church in Dickinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Henry "Buzzy" Tatum. Mrs. Rogers is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Jerry Carrol Rogers of Texas City, Texas; her sisters, Nora Bell Parker of Mena, Arkansas, Charlene Evans of Karnack, Texas and Alene Hammer of Texas City, Texas; her sister-in-law, Nora May Tatum of Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2005, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, Texas. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 21, 2005, at 10 a.m., at the funeral home, with Brother Horace Stephens and the Rev. Michael Wedgeworth officiating. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas. Pallbearers will be Mike Wetzel, George Saunders, Al Johnson, Rob Wallace, Robert Floyd and Wendel Kurz.
