About A. French
A. O. French, 83, of Dumas, departed this life on Monday, June 18, 2018. He was born October 15, 1934 in Tyro to Arch O. and Eugenia Collins French. A.O. was the youngest of 3 sons. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Corynn Moore French, son David French; and granddaughter, Melissa Virginia Smith; and his brother, Robert French. After completing College at Southern State, A.O. returned to Dumas where he taught and Coached in the Dumas School System, he then returned to farming full time. A.O. is survived by his children, Debra French Smith(Junior) of Fayetteville; Tracy Moore French (Rita) of Cabot; Arlynn French Rector (Greg) of Siloam Springs; brother, Billy Bert French of Hot Springs; Grandchildren, Jeremy W. Smith (Lety), Greg Smith (Lindsay), Maggie French Collins (Luke), Brad French (Lindsey), Daniel French, David Rector (Danielle), Jacob Rector, Tracie French Cash (Nathan), Katie Rector, Collin French. Great grand kids, Cici Smith, Melissa Smith, Abby Smith, Logan French, Layton French, Cruz Collins and Will French; and his dear Lois Brantley. Visitation held from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, June 21, 2018 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dubs Byers officiating. Burial in Walnut Lake Cemetery, Pickens. Arkansas. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 200 East Waterman, Dumas, Arkansas 71639.
