Yolanda Swanson Obituary Yolanda Sarah Swanson passed away peacefully on December 11, 2023 at Paramount House Senior Living in Vacaville, California. She was 96 years old. A long time resident of Vacaville, Yolanda's life began in Chico, California on March 25, 1927. She was the third daughter born to Beatrice and Giuseppi Musso. Her family moved to Woodland, California shortly after her birth. As the daughter of hard working immigrants from Italy, she grew up to value work, religion and family. In high school she met her future husband and love Victor (Bill) Swanson. They celebrated 75 years of marriage before Bill's passing in 2021. Yolanda was a devoted wife and mother. Family always came first. When Bill retired from the Air Force in 1970, the family made Vacaville their permanent home. It was at this time that Yolanda returned to college to complete her degree. She spent the next 30 years working for the Solano County Office of Education as a teacher's assistant in the deaf student program. She was proficient in sign language and in her later years enjoyed teaching her grandsons basic signs. She spent the last years of her life cultivating her lovely roses and spending time with her family and friends. Yolanda is survived by her two daughters, Bonnie (Bob) Schulze, Beatrice (Mike) Haralson and her son Victor (Billy) Swanson Jr. She was blessed with four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. A burial service will be held at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon California where she will be interred with her husband. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Shriner's Children's Hospital. Published by The Reporter on Dec. 22, 2023.
